what is the fuel
economy
effect of CERAMIC
FLUID and also the achievement of increased
PERFORMANCE
based
on?
On
a completely simple law of physics. Everyone knows that where friction takes
place a loss of energy ensues. Friction
occurs in every engine, thus energy in the form of performance and fuel
economy is
wasted. By reducing the friction to an absolute minimum the HP not used in
gas engines, and diesel engines now can arrive at the wheels and less energy in
the form of more fuel economy is
achieved. This also applies to
manual transmissions
and differentials and add to that Irrigation pumps, lawnmowers, generators ;
any
4 cycle combustion engine.
How does
Ceramic
FLUID function in the engine?
The "Engine Treatment"
,when
CERAMIC
FLUID
has
been applied in the engine
is as follows:
All
metal parts, cylinder running paths, pistons, cam shafts, bearing
shells, turbo chargers etc., are gradually coated at places of friction
with a polymer ceramic wear-resistant, ultra-smooth, heat-resisting micro-layer
(an approximate thickness of only 2/1000 mm ). This special
polymer-ceramic composition has a minute
frictional coefficient of 0,02 - 0,18. The
coated sliding surfaces are thereby just as smooth
as wet ice on top of wet ice!
Due to the very large reduction of slip
resistance in the engine, less HP is needed in the engine itself!
In turn,
this helps to save energy in the form of
added
fuel
economy.
The HP saved in the
gas
engine,
diesel engine,
arrives as increased power directly to the wheels. The vehicle accelerates
faster and attains a higher terminal velocity. Because the pistons adhere closer
to the inner walls of the cylinders, less engine oil consumption is inevitable The reduction of fuel and oil consumption causes a
detectable lessening in pollutant emission – of up to around 30%!
Are
the fuel savings the same for all vehicles?
No! The greatest savings in fuel
economy
and oil consumption can be noted in the case of
older vehicles. With a brand new vehicle, everything runs optimally after a
break-in phase of around
6 - 10,000 miles.
Here the consumption figures provided by the manufacturer agree with the fuel
actually consumed. However, as the mileage mounts up, the moving parts of
the engine become increasingly subject to wear and tear.
Over time, the enlarged tolerances
cause the engine to consume more and more fuel and oil. Besides this,
engine noise increases and less HP is developed due
to diminishing compression ( normal
engine wear ). This process is lastingly reversed (
for the next
36 -
50,000 miles
) when
CERAMIC FLUID
is
utilised. This effect is maintained even over subsequent oil change intervals,
because the active substances are positively welded
( bonded )
on to places of friction
in the engine. Incidentally,
places where no friction occurs are not
coated !
A further
positive side effect provided by
CERAMIC FLUID,
especially in the case of older
gas, diesel
driven engines, is that because of the
reduction in oil consumption the spark plugs no longer oil up so quickly. This,
on the other hand, brings about improved combustion of the fuel-air mixture and
distinctly improves the performance of cold starts. The improved start
performance is due, however, to the reduction of
the frictional resistance (break away conduct). All vehicles,
whether old or new, profit from this advantage!
Newer vehicle application
A saving in
fuel of “only” up to 10 per cent can be reckoned with in the case of new
vehicles. The point of favour here for employing
CERAMIC FLUID
is
primarily quite different as that for a new vehicle. Through regular coating
with CERAMIC FLUID
(every
36 -
50,000
miles) a minimum in wear is achieved. Scientific studies
confirm a reduction of up to 50 per cent. The normal aging process is (as
regards time) deferred for a very considerable time. The engine remains young
for a long period. Running costs are therefore reduced as a consequence of the
obvious very long life expectancy of the engine. In addition, an engine treated
with CERAMIC FLUID
enters much later into the increased fuel and oil consumption phase.
The
engine thus retains the initially low consumption values over a much longer
period.
cold
starting is said to cause an especially high rate of wear?
Correct!
When the vehicle
is parked overnight, the engine oil runs
away
from the gliding surfaces into the oil
pan. When the engine is started the next day, it takes about 5 seconds for the
oil pump to
pressure the engine oil back to those places where it has to
protect the moving parts from wear. In these initial 5 seconds the
crankshaft
revolves approximately 120 times almost without
pressurized
lubrication. The wear on the
engine caused by this is equal to 150 driven
kilometres!
(100 miles)
"Many cold starts mean the death of the engine“.
If, on the other hand, the engine has been coated with
CERAMIC FLUID,
no
wear and tear occurs at all on account of the(
bonding ) firm adherence of polymer-ceramic
to the surfaces of the metal parts, so that its lubricating function is
immediately fulfilled. At the cold time of the year,
when
wear and tear caused by cold starts is naturally much higher on account of the
much thicker engine oil, the wear-resistant effect of
CERAMIC
FLUID
is immense.
How
quickly does
Ceramic Fluid
come into effect after it has been
applied to the engine?
After
about 30-45 miles have been driven, a clear reduction in the noise level
already occurs. A distinct fuel savings can be noted following the second
re-fuelling. At this point in time, an increase in performance can be clearly
noted in vehicles with weak HP. On grades or hills,
where one otherwise needs to change into a lower gear, it is frequently
unnecessary to select the next gear down when Ceramic Fluid
is used. The coating phase is
finalised following 600-1000 miles.
